# Competitor tracking

Compare your PR results with competitors and track changes over time in your existing project

Compare your PR results with competitors in the project you already use. Track coverage, reach, and media value by brand to see how your position changes over time.

## Track competitor coverage

[Set up competitors](/help/projects/competitors) in your project. PR Analytics and AI Visibility share this list, so you only need to add each competitor once.

Include competitors in your [monitoring searches](/help/monitoring), or [import their coverage](/help/clippings/creating-clippings) using URLs and files. Adding a competitor does not create monitoring searches automatically.

In [**Clippings**](app:~/clippings), use the **Brands** filter to view your coverage alongside competitors. aclipp identifies brands during processing; open a clipping and check **Mentioned brands** to correct an assignment.

## Compare your results

Open [**Dashboards**](app:~/analytics) and add or edit a chart. Choose **Clippings** as the data source, select a metric such as clipping count, reach, or media value, and group it by brand.

Use the same date range and filters, and comparable monitoring sources for each brand. Open the underlying clippings to understand what drove a difference.

## Include competitors in reports

In a [**Report**](app:~/reports), group a clipping chart by brand to show the comparison. Reports focus on your own brand by default; use a **Brands** filter to include competitor coverage. You can also filter individual blocks by brand, as long as the report filters include those brands.

See [Create reports](/help/reports/creating-reports) for layout options and [Share reports](/help/reports/sharing) for sharing and exports.
