# Tags

Organize and filter clippings with custom labels


Tags are simple labels you create to categorize your clippings. Unlike [metrics](/help/clippings/custom-metrics), tags don't carry a value. They're just names you attach to clippings to group and filter them.

## Adding tags

1. Open your project and go to [**Project Settings > Tags**](app:~/tags).
2. Click **Add Tag**.
3. Enter a **name** and optionally a **description**. AI will help here too.
4. Save your changes.

## How tags work

- You can assign **multiple tags** to a single clipping.
- Tags appear as filter options in your **clippings table**, **dashboards**, and **reports**.
- They make it easy to slice your data by campaign, market, spokesperson, topic, or any other category.

## Common examples

- **Campaigns:** "Product Launch 2026", "Annual Report", "Crisis Response"
- **Markets:** "DACH", "UK", "US"
- **Topics:** "Sustainability", "Leadership", "Innovation"
- **Spokespeople:** Names of quoted executives or experts
