AI Visibility credits

Understand how credits work, what happens at your limit, and how to manage usage

View as Markdown

Credits measure your AI Visibility tracking usage. They keep costs predictable while letting you create as many prompts as you need and choose any supported providers and tracking frequency.

What is a credit?#

One credit tracks one prompt on one provider once.

For example, tracking one prompt across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity uses 3 credits each time it is tracked. Tracking it daily across those 3 providers uses about 93 credits in the 31-day month used for projections.

What affects usage?#

  • Number of prompts: more prompts mean more tracking.
  • Number of providers: every active provider uses one credit whenever a prompt is tracked.
  • Cadence: daily tracking uses more credits than weekly tracking.
  • Projects: each project can have its own prompts, providers, and cadence.

Competitors do not use extra credits. They are analyzed inside the same answer when they are configured in your project.

What happens when credits run out?#

As long as credits remain, you can continue creating prompts, selecting providers, and changing tracking frequencies even when the projected usage exceeds your monthly credit allowance.

Once all available credits have been used:

  • aclipp does not start any further scheduled tracking.
  • Actions that would add tracking usage are temporarily unavailable.
  • You can still pause prompts, reduce frequencies, or remove providers.
  • Your prompts, settings, and existing results remain available.
  • Tracking resumes automatically when your monthly credits reset.
  • To continue tracking before the reset, select Buy Credits in aclipp and contact us to add more credits.

Admins see a warning when credits have run out or when the current schedule is projected to use them up before the next reset. The forecast is an estimate based on current usage, active prompts, providers, and frequencies.

How to reduce credit usage#

To make your remaining credits last longer, you can:

  • Pause lower-priority prompts.
  • Change prompts from daily to every two days or weekly.
  • Disable providers you do not currently need.

Changes that reduce usage take effect for future scheduled tracking. Existing results are not removed.

Example calculation#

If you run 10 prompts across 4 providers weekly, that is about:

10 prompts × 4 providers × 31 days ÷ 7 = about 177 credits per month.

If the same prompts run daily, usage increases accordingly:

10 prompts × 4 providers × 31 days = 1,240 credits per month.
