Reach Metrics
Estimated Reach and Potential Reach — the two reach metrics aclipp calculates from your clippings
aclipp has two built-in reach metrics.
- Estimated Reach — people likely reached per clipping, summed across clippings.
- Potential Reach — outlet audience size per clipping, counted once per outlet.
Estimated Reach#
Picks the first available field per clipping:
- Views (YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, Twitch)
- Likes — fallback for Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest
- Unique Visitors (Online)
- Reach (TV, Print)
Summed across clippings. Overlap between outlets isn't corrected, so it's an upper bound.
Potential Reach#
Reads the outlet's audience field:

Each outlet is counted only once
If multiple clippings come from the same outlet, that outlet's audience is counted once in the total, not once per clipping.
