Alerts notify you by email as soon as new clippings match the criteria you care about. Set the conditions once, choose who should be notified, and aclipp sends an email whenever matching coverage comes in.
Go to the Alerts tab in your project to set them up.
How it works#
An alert is checked after a new clipping imported through monitoring or an integration has finished processing. If the clipping matches the alert's filter expression, everyone on the recipient list receives an email. Manually created and user-imported clippings do not trigger alerts.
Configuration#
Name#
Give each alert a clear name, for example "Crisis watch" or "Print coverage", so you can tell them apart in the list.
Trigger#
Alerts run on the New clipping created trigger. The alert is evaluated after an incoming monitoring or integration clipping has finished processing.
Conditions#
Conditions decide which clippings actually send an email. With no conditions, every eligible incoming clipping matches.
Build expressions with AND and OR, including grouped conditions and exclusions. You can filter by channel, status, sentiment, country, tag, outlet, text search, tracked brand (when enabled), and built-in or custom metrics.
For example, you can send an alert for negative online coverage OR any clipping carrying a crisis tag. The same expression semantics are used by the clipping list, dashboards, reports, and alerts.
Recipients#
Choose who receives the alert:
- Team members: Select active members of your organization.
- Custom emails: Add any external email address, for example an agency contact or a stakeholder who does not have an aclipp account.
Enabled#
Turn an alert on or off at any time without deleting it. A disabled alert keeps its conditions and recipients, so you can reactivate it later.
