Alerts

Get an email when new clippings match your criteria, filtered by sentiment and channel

Alerts notify you by email as soon as new clippings match the criteria you care about. Set the conditions once, choose who should be notified, and aclipp sends an email whenever matching coverage comes in.

Go to the Alerts tab in your project to set them up.

How it works#

An alert is checked whenever a new clipping is created in your project, whether it was added manually, captured with the browser extension, or imported through monitoring or an integration. If the clipping matches the alert's conditions, everyone on the recipient list receives an email.

Configuration#

Name#

Give each alert a clear name, for example "Crisis watch" or "Print coverage", so you can tell them apart in the list.

Trigger#

Alerts run on the New clipping created trigger. The alert is evaluated each time a clipping is added to the project.

Conditions#

Conditions decide which clippings actually send an email. Leave a condition empty to match every clipping.

  • Sentiment: Send the alert only for clippings with a sentiment you select (positive, neutral, or negative).
  • Channel: Send the alert only for clippings from the channels you select, such as online, print, or social media.

If you set both, a clipping has to match both to trigger the alert.

Recipients#

Choose who receives the alert:

  • Team members: Select active members of your organization.
  • Custom emails: Add any external email address, for example an agency contact or a stakeholder who does not have an aclipp account.

Enabled#

Turn an alert on or off at any time without deleting it. A disabled alert keeps its conditions and recipients, so you can reactivate it later.
