AI Visibility Index: Which PR agencies ChatGPT and co. recommend in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
We analysed 7,797 AI answers and publish the result as an index: rankings for Germany, Austria and Switzerland and every agency to search.

Nine GEO tools compared by provider coverage, source analysis, PR context, and real entry cost.
Sascha KirsteinAI visibility matters to PR teams because AI answers cite more than a brand's own website. They also draw on news, trade publications, and other third-party sources. A monitoring tool can show whether and how a brand appears in ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity. For PR, however, it is equally important to understand which sources shape those answers and whether the findings connect to coverage and reporting.
Before comparing tools, our guide to AI visibility metrics and measurement defines the quantities these products claim to track.
That is where the products differ. Dedicated GEO platforms often provide deeper prompt and competitor analysis. PR suites add media monitoring, journalist data, or reporting context. The best choice therefore depends less on the longest feature list than on the workflow the team actually needs.
| Tool | Best for | AI providers | PR and monitoring context | Public starting price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| aclipp | AI visibility plus monitoring and reports | 9 included, selectable | Built-in monitoring, clippings, and reports | From €49/month, billed annually |
| Peec AI | Clear, standalone GEO analysis | 3 included, selectable | No traditional media monitoring | From $95/month on its USD page, checked Oct. 1, 2026 |
| Otterly.AI | Low-cost prompt monitoring | 4 included, 3 add-ons | No traditional media monitoring | From $29/month |
| Profound | Larger and more advanced GEO programs | 3 in trial; up to 9 on Enterprise | Marketing and content focus | Free 7-day trial; Enterprise custom |
| Semrush AI Visibility | GEO inside an existing SEO workflow | 4 included on Base | SEO suite; PR is a separate toolkit | From $99/month per domain, billed annually |
| Rankscale | Broad coverage and flexible scheduling | 17+ available | No traditional media monitoring | From $20/month |
| Meltwater GenAI Lens | Existing Meltwater customers | 9 listed; 11 with Mistral add-on | Media and social monitoring | Custom; typically an add-on |
| CisionOne AI Visibility | Large communications teams using CisionOne | 9 available, package-dependent | Monitoring, social listening, and outreach | Custom |
| Brand24 AI Visibility | Social listening plus AI visibility | 4 included in the add-on | Social and web monitoring | Active Brand24 plan plus $99/month |
The table uses the lowest publicly stated entry point. Taxes, add-ons, and possible discounts are excluded. Monthly and annual billing differ for Peec AI, Otterly.AI, and Semrush. Meltwater and Cision do not publish fixed prices for the configurations compared here.
More providers are not automatically better. A European team may reasonably start with ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, and Perplexity; an international program may also need Claude, Copilot, Grok, or regional variants. What matters is whether providers, countries, and languages can be configured for the project.
The quality of the analysis depends heavily on the prompts. Brand-name questions mostly measure awareness. Category, problem, comparison, and recommendation prompts reveal much more. A useful tool should organize those prompts, run them consistently, and keep results comparable over time.
A visibility score shows that a brand appears. PR teams also need to know why it appears: which domains, articles, publications, and, where available, journalists are cited? That layer creates practical inputs for editorial planning, media relations, and correcting outdated information.
A standalone GEO dashboard can be enough for a specialist team. Agencies and communications departments often need to explain the results next to clippings, share of voice, sentiment, and campaign KPIs. Connecting AI visibility to the existing monitoring and reporting workflow can save substantial manual work.
The smallest plan is only a starting point. Compare a concrete scenario: brands, countries, prompts, providers, runs per month, and users. A low-cost base plan can grow quickly when providers or prompt packs are added. A more expensive suite may still be economical if it replaces existing monitoring and reporting work.
aclipp is a European PR analytics platform from Germany that tracks how brands are mentioned and cited in AI answers, in the same workspace as media monitoring, clippings, and PR reports. Prompt results, competitor comparisons, and source analysis sit next to earned media in custom KPIs, dashboards, and reports. AI Visibility starts at €49 per month and PR Analytics with monitoring at €99 per month, both billed annually. Teams can select from nine supported AI providers per project and set the cadence for each prompt. Billing is credit-based: one credit represents one prompt run on one provider. aclipp is built in Germany and hosted in EU data centers.
Strengths: PR and reporting context, selectable providers, source and competitor analysis, analysis via API and MCP with Claude or ChatGPT, and unlimited users on published plans.
Limitations: The focus is communications, not technical SEO audits or high-volume content optimization. Teams running GEO purely as an SEO discipline may find deeper optimization workflows in specialist platforms.
Best fit: AI visibility needs to be evaluated with earned media and shown in client- or stakeholder-ready PR reports.
Peec AI's Starter plan includes 50 prompts, daily tracking, unlimited users, and three selectable providers. Its clear dashboard and competitor analysis make it a strong standalone option for marketing, content, or dedicated GEO teams.
Strengths: Accessible interface, flexible choice from six providers, daily tracking, and transparent plans.
Limitations: No traditional clipping or media-monitoring layer; additional providers cost extra.

Otterly.AI starts with 15 prompts and daily tracking. ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot are included; Claude, Google AI Mode, and Gemini are charged as additional providers. This keeps the initial cost low while prompt volume and provider needs remain modest.
Strengths: Low entry price, simple setup, source analysis, and unlimited users.
Limitations: Only 15 prompts on Lite; important Google products add cost; no PR monitoring.

Profound spans monitoring, content, and enterprise workflows. It no longer sells self-serve plans to brands. The free seven-day trial runs 50 prompts that Profound picks for your industry on ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, with no history or exports. Up to nine providers, API access, and SSO come with a custom-priced Enterprise contract.
Strengths: Deep answer and prompt analysis, full history, exports, and enterprise capabilities such as API access and SSO on Enterprise.
Limitations: Beyond the trial there is no published price, and you can't edit the trial prompts; media monitoring and clipping reports are not core functions.
The Semrush AI Visibility Base plan costs $99 per domain per month when billed annually. It includes 25 custom prompts and data from ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini, and Perplexity. Competitor analysis, prompt research, and an AI-readiness site audit are designed around SEO and content work.
Strengths: Connection to an established SEO ecosystem, domain and competitor analysis, and a clear public price.
Limitations: Pricing is per domain, and the separate AI PR Toolkit is a different product. PR outreach, media monitoring, and AI visibility therefore do not form one continuous workflow.
Rankscale supports more than 17 providers, all regions, and schedules ranging from hourly to monthly. Essentials starts at $20 per month; more substantial dashboards, exports, white-label options, and API access sit on higher tiers.
Strengths: Very broad coverage, flexible cadence, a credit model, and a low entry point.
Limitations: Teams need to calculate credits for their real scenario; media monitoring is not integrated.
The core GenAI Lens page lists ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, DeepSeek, Llama, Claude, Gemini, and Grok. Meltwater's August 2026 update says the separately priced Mistral add-on expands coverage to 11 AI sources. Meltwater states a 48-hour refresh cycle and offers source analysis, share of voice, and recommendations. Results can be combined with the platform's news and social data.
Strengths: Broad provider coverage inside an established media-intelligence suite.
Limitations: Custom pricing, no self-serve trial, and typically an add-on. The full platform can be more than a smaller team needs.

CisionOne measures visibility and share of voice across nine AI providers. Its PR-specific distinction is the connection between cited sources and journalists: teams can move from source analysis into CisionOne Outreach. Monitoring, social listening, and reporting remain in the same system.
Strengths: Clear communications focus, source and journalist context, and integrated outreach.
Limitations: Custom pricing and a broad suite. It delivers the most value when CisionOne already handles the wider PR workflow.

Brand24 sells AI visibility as a $99 add-on to an active Brand24 plan. The paid add-on includes 30 prompts across four products: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini. Results sit beside web and social monitoring in the Brand24 dashboard.
Strengths: Combines social listening, web monitoring, competitor comparisons, and AI sources in one interface.
Limitations: The real entry cost includes both the base plan and add-on. With Brand24's lowest annual plan, that is currently $298 per month; the add-on is limited to 30 prompts.
| Your situation | Suitable shortlist |
|---|---|
| AI visibility, monitoring, and PR reporting in one tool | aclipp |
| You want a clear, standalone GEO dashboard | Peec AI |
| You want to start cheaply with a small prompt set | Otterly.AI or Rankscale |
| You are building a large GEO program with enterprise requirements | Profound |
| SEO and content are the primary working context | Semrush |
| Meltwater or CisionOne is already your central PR suite | GenAI Lens or CisionOne AI Visibility |
| Social listening is the main use case | Brand24 AI Visibility |
Start by defining 20 to 50 real questions across brand, category, problem, and comparison scenarios. Next, decide which countries and providers actually matter. Only then request quotes or test plans using that exact setup. This compares the cost and output of the monitoring you will really run, rather than abstract feature lists.
PR teams should add one practical test: can the product do more than draw a visibility curve? Can it explain the cited sources and turn the findings into a clear PR report? That question separates useful monitoring from another isolated metric.
There is no single best AI visibility tool for every team. Peec AI and Otterly.AI are accessible standalone options, Rankscale emphasizes breadth, Profound supports extensive GEO programs, and Semrush connects the topic to SEO. Meltwater, CisionOne, and Brand24 make sense when their respective monitoring suites are already established.
When AI visibility needs to be evaluated together with media monitoring, earned media, and PR KPIs, aclipp covers both in one workspace. Use the pricing page to estimate a suitable plan from your prompts, providers, and tracking frequency.
